Being The Lord's Servant

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.

"Day 5-Geo 23/1" / Independence Day ?

At last, PMR has just ended two days ago. Why I only update my blog today? Sorry everybody, I was busy with my life. I need to attend my music lesson on Friday and I need to settle some band business on Saturday and that is why.

On Friday, I was in school till 12pm as there is no any ISCF meeting. Right after my PMR we, Form 3 band members, had to attend a so-called meeting lead my Pn. Elisabeth our teacher-in-charge of the band. At that moment most of us were wondering what was the meeting all about. Pn. Eli was last. Only a few Form 3 members turned up. The meeting was about the “Spring Cleaning” and the “design for the Band Idol ticket” and the “Band Dinner.” After 30 minutes or so we break off with our own activities. I opened the band room for a while then I had lunch in school. Next, I followed Adnan to the church. Why? He wants to meet his kindergarten mate. Lolz.

Saturday was an interesting day for some of us. I woke up late and I only reached school before 8.30am while I was supposed to reach school at around 7.30am to 8.00am. When I reached school, I opened the band room and took out everything but not the instruments. Only some selected instruments were taken out of the band room. When the room was empty we mopped it. Then we sort out things which were not needed then we threw them away. At the end of the day, I was confused about what we are doing. If you do not understand me, you can have a look at the band room now as the band room now is extremely packed thanks to gnoY miK for not being there to help us sort things out with the uniforms but it’s not totally his fault as I did not informed him earlier so we had to wait till Monday.

For lunch, eight of us namely Adnan, Waie, Voon, Toh, Edmund, Khai, Anad and I received RM10 each for our lunch from Pn. Eli. Before that, we had actually received free can drinks by Pn. Kang. One of our teacher-in-charge of the band. We also received a free t-shirt. What a wonderful gift after a half-day of hard work.

Adnan, Waie, Toh, Anad and I next headed to Hopoh for lunch at “Sweetie”. After lunch, Anad and Toh had to leave us due to some “communication errors” with their parents. Three of us then walked to a music shop and we walked to the museum. It was not very interesting as the museum now is lacking of a lot of important stuff but there is something where we “climbed up” the “long-house” in the Sarawak Museum.

After the museum, we wanted to go to GRSS to have a look as Adnan never went there before. I thought it was a good idea to take the bus as our legs at that moment is in great pain after a day of walking in the streets but it turned out to be a disaster when we reached the bus station and the bus was not there yet and time is running out so we decided to walk there. Waie leaved Adnan and I after a while as he need to go home so both of us walked to GRSS. It was hot at that moment but we finally reached GRSS. It was useless I called it as we did not even greed KKJ nor the GRSB members when we reached there. So we just hang out there for less then half an hour till my dad comes and pick us up to school and sent Adnan home.

The end.

Greetings

Allo everybody! I am sorry for not updating my blog for quite some time (I am busy studying). There are a lot of things happening now. I believe it will take me quite some time to share with you. I’ll just make a summary here in my blog.

School has just ended. There are a lot of things that happened in school. For example, there are a lot of bombs that will explode everyday. I just don’t know why, after each explosion I’ll feel very angry, sad and bad unlike the other buglers are.

The school magazine was out. Unfortunately I did not receive a copy as I did not buy. I was hoping to receive one complimentary copy as my dad advertised in the magazine but things went out of my expectation. The magazine was fine except there is some minor errors. It was okay to me because I know that human beings make mistake so it is okay to have produced a bad magazine this and produced a good and better one next year. I hope I’ll be in the magazine committee next year. =)

PMR’s trial has just ended weeks ago and my marks are quite low. My results are really BAD (A B B B C C D) but I am not complaining and I am not even proud of it because I know that I did not put much effort to it. I just felt that I would like to express my feeling in my blog. I know that there is still a long way to go BUT PMR is just two days to go. I really hope that I can do something about it. PMR is on Monday till Friday and today is Saturday. somebody please help me.

Yesterday was the prize-giving ceremony for all the form three students. It felt ashamed as I did not receive anything. I felt very sad as I thought there is no point for me going to school yesterday but I was wrong because there was an ISCF (Inter-School Christian Fellowship) Meeting yesterday and I know that God wants me to attend that meeting as I did learnt a lot from yesterday. I really thank God and I am gratified that I did not follow my friend to watch the GRSB’ recruitment drive (Green Road School Band) because I knew that it is a waste of time and it will not benefit in my PMR so I decided to practice my flute in the school stadium. (I am would like to apologize if I have created trouble practicing in the stadium)

Today, I’ve received something for the MPYO (Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra). I’ve received the orchestral excerpts consisting of three flute pieces but I did not receive the audition date, time and venue. I have tried to call up MPYO unfortunately I called up at the wrong time. Their working hours are only f
rom Monday to Friday and today is? Saturday. Sad to say right? I really have to thank God for that. I did not expect much from MPYO as I did not meet the requirements (ABRSM Grade 6 and I am only in Trinity Grade 4) and they still send me the orchestral excerpts. I will try to call them on Monday but I will not hope to much as I am not qualified and on Monday I will have to sit for my PMR.

To all my friends out there, those who sat for PMR before, is there any words of encouragement or any tips for me to pass my PMR with flying colours? I don’t want to FAIL. FAIL means that I will have to stop everything especially band and any other musical activities. FAIL to me and my parent is by not getting STRAIGHT As or to drop to 4B. I want and need to stay in 4A. I shall pray hard and work extremely hard after this as my results are not pleasing at all.

I believe that’s all for now because I really need to study and revise for my PMR. To all my friends and for those who are reading my blog at the moment, do pray for me and all the PMR candidates so that we may excel in this examination. Thank you. Don’t give up till you have given your VERY BEST. GOD BLESS! ORA Et. Labora!!

p.s. don’t be like me. I am so lazy. =(
