Being The Lord's Servant

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.

The True Meaning of Christmas: A Turning Point in London

Is Christmas all about Santa Claus, Christmas Trees, gifts, snow or turkey? No! The significance of Christmas is the birth of the baby Jesus who was born in a manger by the Virgin Mary and during His life on earth, He performed miracles yet He was crucified but He rose on the third day! Amen!

In December 2013, God was very gracious to me. It all started around October 2013 when I applied and was accepted to go on a Short Term Mission Trip. God’s plan for me is always perfect. He sent me to London to share the Good News with Londoners and to partner with Woodberry Down Baptist Church.

I flew to London on Malaysia Airlines and Qatar Airways. I was served with red wine aboard Qatar Airways. Now, the wine reminds me of the gospel in John 2. Throughout my 14 days journey, I managed to ‘visit’ Kuala Lumpur, Doha, London and not to forget, Jakarta.

In London, the weather was cold. Fortunately, the Lord has strengthened me throughout. The Lord also assigned me to work with His servants from Bulgaria, South Korea, USA, UK, Austria, Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong and Pakistan.

God is indeed omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. He gave me different opportunities to serve Him. I was able to worship Him on my flute, share the Good News to our ‘cousins’, serve kids and take part in practical work such as cleaning and cooking.

God answered our prayers during Kids’ Party. At first, we thought nobody would show up but God sent 15 children. Then, God gave us good weather during our Book Table. God even arranged for a Turkish Meal in London for me and my teammates. And out of surprise, I could actually taste Burmese food in London.

All in all, God is good all the time and… I have decided to follow Jesus and there is no turning back! Please continue to pray for me as I serve Him daily.
